Creepy Or Creeptastic?

by Richard

I don’t know if I should be creeped out, or just overjoyed with the sheer awesomeness of it all.

I’m talking about Google’s Street View. It’s a part of Google Maps that allows you to actually see a photograph, in 360 degrees, of the address you’re looking up. Well, now they’ve taken it one step further.

They’ve put together all in one place a collection of street view images from amazing sites around the globe, including Kennedy Space Center. And it’s all in one place for you dudes to take a gander at.

Here’s a link to where they’ve got the whole Magilla all put together.

Some of the views include the Swiss Alps, the wonders of the world, Antarctica and the Amazon. It’s amazing the pictures they’ve got on offer. If you want, all you have to do is click on the see in Google Maps link and then you can really go to town. You can control the angle from which you’re viewing the scene, make it go higher or lower, turn left or right.

It’s almost like being there. Without the different weather, different foods, different people, diff– Okay, not almost just like being there, but it is a pretty cool place to look at some of the world’s wonders.

Okay, sure, there are those who get a little creeped out by the knowledge that Google is in vans riding around the country, heck, the world and taking pictures of everything it sees, but I’m not one of them. I’ve decided being creeped out by this is just plain silly. This is too cool to be creepy.

Seriously, get yourself over there and have a good time taking a short visual tour of the world.
